Terms & Conditions
Membership terms
Active Aussies members must agree to stay with Active Aussies for a minimum of three months. If clients are unwilling to, or unable to remain a member for this minimum term they must pay casual rates.
Off-peak sessions
Off-peak session times are between 10:30am to 2:30pm.
Payments
Payments are deducted in advance and processed securely via Ezidebit. You can choose to be debited weekly, fortnightly, monthly or 4-weekly. Please discuss payment frequency options with our memberships staff to discover your full range of payment options. We also accept payments made in cash, cheque or via electronic funds transfer (EFT) when you make the payment 10 days prior to your direct debit date. If you make a payment via one of these alternative methods, and no later than 10 days prior to your direct debit date, we will cancel your direct debit. Clients who do not wish to sign the direct debit are under no obligation to do so. If this is the case, clients can pay for memberships upfront, but the minimum amount we will accept is 3 months payment. If client cannot commit to a minimum of three months, client must pay casual rates.
Your first membership payment is due no later than the day you commence training. This payment must be made in accordance to the options outlined in the paragraph above. Memberships continue indefinitely and payments are automatically billed via direct debit until the client arranges cancellation as outlined below. Memberships are non-transferable and clients agree to honour the full term of their chosen membership option.
Cancellations
If you are not satisfied with Active Aussies and our level of service to you, you may cancel your membership. If you cancel within 7 days of commencement, we will cancel your membership and refund your money, excluding transaction costs. If you cancel after 7 days and you have stayed with us less than 3 months, we will cancel your membership but you will incur a $100 cancellation fee. If you cancel but you have been with us longer than 3 months, we will cancel your membership and you are free to go. Please note, we love our fellow Active Aussies and we will do everything we possibly can to help you reach your goals. If you are unhappy or feel that you are not reaching your goals, do not quit, come and have a chat to one of our Master Trainers and we will see if there is anything we can do to help you out.
When you decide to leave Active Aussies and cancel your membership, apart from missing you like crazy, we will provide any applicable refunds within 1 calendar month. Clients agree that they will provide notice of intent to cancel membership in writing, either by mail or email, at least 10 days prior to their membership renewal date.
Holds and time-freezes
In the event of illness or injury, as verified by a signed doctors certificate, members may put their membership on hold and will be credited for the time clients take to recover. This credit will be applied when the next membership payment is made or due. When a doctors certificate is not available, clients may purchase a time-freeze. Clients are able to put their membership on time-freeze or hold for a maximum total of 4 weeks per calendar year. Time-freezes are only available in 1-week blocks. Every time-freeze block will incur a $10 fee per block. This time-freeze is due when the client is due to pay their next membership fee. The time-freeze will be added to the clients normal membership fee and will be debited concurrently. Time-freeze blocks will extend the duration of membership terms.
Re-locations and address changes
Active Aussies members agree to notify our membership staff whenever they relocate or change address. In the event of a significant relocation of residential address, as verified by a registered real estate agent, where clients are no longer able to attend training sessions, clients may cancel their membership with Active Aussies. Cancelletion fee must be paid when applicable.
Make-up session policy
Clients may attend any amount of sessions that they are entitled to according to their membership agreement. If a client is unable to attend a training session for some reason, it is the clients responsibility to arrange a make-up session. Make-up sessions may only occur during the clients current membership term. If the client is unable to arrange a make-up session during their membership term, the session is forfeited. There are no carry-over sessions from one membership period to the next.
Session cancellation policy
It is the clients responsibility to provide adequate notice when cancelling or rescheduling a personal training session. Active Aussies Personal Trainers require 24 hours notice when a client needs to cancel or reschedule a session. If a client does not provide 24 hours notice, then that session is forfeited. Only in the event of a medical emergency - verified by a signed doctors certificate - will we reconsider this policy. We recognise the challenges involved with personal scheduling and that unannounced events do come up from time to time. However, this policy is an extension of our commitment to turn you into a fitter person, and our system for physical fitness development relies on keeping to a strict schedule. Trust us. If you want awesome results, you need to master your personal schedule.
